GINETTA - trimming
Fereday Cars is the place to visit should your Ginetta need trimming. Only the best materials are used and we even try our best to produce waterproof weather equipment! We are adding to our range of patterns all the time. A summary of items currently available is as follows:-
G27 Series II
Our hood uses the original hood frame as introduced for the 1980's G4/4. One very important change though is the deletion of those horrible fibreglass door frame mouldings. The Mohair is lined in beige which provides for a pleasant light coloured relief to the interior of the car. The hood and tonneau fastenings are supplied loose unless requested otherwise.

G27 Series III
A totally new hood frame has been developed for the Series III. The deployed frame fits into two chrome bezels on the bodywork just to the rear of the 'B' posts. The hood is supported by two hoops, side rails and a header rail. This one piece assembly folds down to a compact unit that can be stored in the boot together with the hood and sidescreens. More recently, a door mirror has been developed which fits on top of the door, G33 style.
Two tonneau designs are available. The shorter one follows the contour of the rear headrests but only covers the first inch or so. It was felt that this would cause less damage to a painted car. The longer one is tailered to the headrests and uses the same fastenings as the hood. In both cases, the tonneau has a full length centre zip with a cover flap.

G27 Series IV
I had hoped to use the same frame as the Series III but Ginetta decided to change the profile of the screen surround. This curve unfortunately adds to the folded height of the frame and it would no longer fit in the boot. Therefore I have replaced the side rails and header rail with a separate fibreglass header rail. This does however have the advantage that the moulding has been taken directly from the windscreen, thus ensuring a perfect fit. The hood is simply wrapped around the header rail for storage in the boot. The door mirror described above also fits the Series IV.
